I bought this quite a few years ago now, and much as I love the design I've rarely worn it.

One end is 'fixed', with the chain soldered at that point, and the other can be removed and adjusted by unclipping the fastener.

Therefore the tassels can either be worn long, and the tassels more symmetrically, or asymmetrically/shorter at the neck depending on your preference!

I believe the assay mark is the Sheffield import mark rather than London..although its certainly one of the two, and the sponsors mark appears to be RB&P? in a club shaped cartouche. I can't make out the date letter.. possibly 1967?

It's quite unusual, and I love the fine textured detailing on the 'beads'.

Maker:

Marked with what looks like RB&P ?

Measures:

Length when fastened at pretty much lowest point possible 31" circumference, plus longest tassel drop of 5"

Overall length end to end 38"

Tassels are  2"  long

Condition:

As shown in the photo the ball sections of the tassels do show some slight dints, but they do little to detract overall - just be aware they aren't perfect. Aside from that its in very good condition.

I've not polished with more than a light cloth, so there is a nice patina.

Please do study the photographs, as they do also form a part of the description.

All jewellery comes with either a modern gift box, or presentation pouch.
