1960s vintage bold jewel toned magenta wool hopsack sleeveless shift dress
From the estate of an accomplished home seamstress, a striking magneta coloured dress in a wool hopsack, fully lined in acetate, and fastening to the cb with a metal zip.
An elegant 1960s shift shape, with simple darted bodice and rolled collar with split to rear.
I'd wear this with a long sleeved block colour top beneath, for some winter warmth! The lady was originally from the far North and there was much wool. Many of the materials had been ordered up from Liberty, so the fabric will be of good quality.

Externally excellent. It has been cleaned - some slight discolouration remains to lining at armscye and there is a tiny mm nick to the lining material but nothing glaring or evident when worn - please see photos.
