A stylish hat to be worn at a jaunty angle! C. Late teens to 20s. Amazing to think it’s around a century old.
It’s an inky black velvet, with a slightly oval - almost teardrop - shape to the top. Ruched asymmetric detail to front adds some subtle interest.
It has a suitably period inner liner with draw string. The makers mark/stamp is just seen beneath; ‘A Fitzroy Hat’.

External dia 12” at widest
Internal 7” or 22” approx
Condition:
Good. A couple of pressure marks to velvet but all in good order, will give another quick steam!
