Mid to late 1930s printed rayon day dress with strong shoulders! Fitted day dress, with typical period styling. Exaggerated pointed sleeve head detail, with wide upper sleeve leading down into narrow buttoned cuff.
Pointed collar worn to back (according to darts!), back placket access with non working buttons which continue down to waist seam. Side opening with metal snaps to fasten. Belt loops missing belt - I have very quickly knocked up a grosgrain one to use for photos, with period buckle, you may wish to neaten it up but will include!
Condition: wearable but definitely imperfect - please study photos and read!
I cleaned and then replaced the original buttons for historical value, despite their discolouration. One button is damaged, to cuff. You could easily swap for some brown deco glass ones? if you wished but I thought I would rather retain as is because I’d prefer the original.

Scattered areas of what looks dye breakdown, but hard to see because of the busy print. Additional front seam detail to hide repair? Well loved. Please look at the photos, as I photographed all flaws I could spot.
Structurally it’s fine, and very wearable. Busy print hides a lot! I stopped myself trying it on.
