Vintage puff sleeved early 1970s Dollyrockers maxi dress
This isn’t exactly fibreglass fabric, but it’s certainly manmade and I think it would absolutely be described as drip dry! Like a lightweight crimplene, in such a great bold and bright ikat inspired print, and typical of the era. Dollyrockers by Sambo (Samuel Sherman) label.
It’s a great shape, with scoop neckline to front, flattering fitted waist and puffed almost Juliet style sleeves into deep buttoned cuffs. The bodice has a mock button placket with orange plastic ball buttons to match those at the cuffs.
Fastens to the rear with a central metal zipper. It’s unlined, with just rayon acetate facing to the neckline.
Measures:
Bust max inc darts 38”
Waist 28”
Hips 48”
Length from nape to hem approx 53”
Condition:
Generally very good. There’s just a small spot to the back rayon acetate facing fabric where it looks like the zip has perhaps caught previously - last photo. Otherwise no notable issues.
