early 1940s vintage wedding dress - puffed sleeves and pintucks

 Very early 1940s (you can see the 30s influences) sweet satin wedding dress.

Point cuffs with snap closures, smocked yoke, puffed insert at sleeve head, pin tucked waist detail, bias cut skirt

It’s generally in good wearable condition, I’ve replaced the buttons but will include the slightly stained originals.

Has been cleaned, there is some patchy colour/scuffs to skirt as shown in photos which renders it a bit imperfect. Wear as is if you’re not bothered, or I was going to dye it but have never got round to it! It’s a lovely flattering shape, good as an evening dress too perhaps, as no train etc. 

Measures: approx UK 8? As no closures/over head

Bust 34” and probably a little cup room in pleats

Waist 30” then tie to fit

Hips 40”

Length from nape to hem 54”

Condition:
