1960s vintage original Cathy McGowan Boutique boating style bright blue stripe db blazer jacket
Owned by me for many years, this is a hard to find piece of the original 'Queen of the Mods' Cathy McGowan's collection released by the singer in the 1960s.
Striking shades of blue and green, and in a medium weight cotton drill - lined in rayon acetate.
Frustratingly it was missing one of the original buttons (remaining four included) so I had replaced with period appropriate suede covered ones. You may be able to get a better match as the originals are just covered cotton drill, although I think these aren't too obviously non-original.
Really flattering shape, slightly fitted. It's an easy piece of vintage to mix into a modern wardrobe.
Measures:
Bust 36" with a little dart room
Waist 30" max
Hips 40"
Length from nape to hem 32"
Shoulder to shoulder 15" seam to seam
Underarm to cuff 16"
Condition:
Buttons are replacement as above and a bit dingy if you look closely.
Has been cleaned but some signs of age marking to interior of collar - you could possibly soak it. That’s unseen when worn.
Some fade to lining at underarms, and a seam separation to left hand side seam
No damage noted aside form odd tiny slub in weave. Immediately wearable.
