A wonderful example of a late 1910’s (c. 1918 to 1919?) very well made tam style velvet hat, with large maribou pompom style trim.
It’s a very dark brown - evenly so, so I don’t think it’s necessarily fade.
It has a suitably period inner liner with draw string. The makers mark in gilt is seen beneath; ‘High Class Milliners ~ H & H Godden ~ Stafford’

Condition:
Very good. A couple of fronds of the feather came off, but have given it a gentle shake and rest seem to be staying put! No damage noted, even in colour.
