C. 1930s to 1940s ‘floralfelt ltd.’ hand embroidered wrist bag
Much like something you would create with the Weldon’s instructionals, I think this is late 30s to 40s - when the craze for felt flowers was at its peak.
Such a pretty example, and this one commercially made no less; a ‘Floralfelt - Original Design’. It has miraculously retained the paper makers label. I can’t find anything out about the company, so I assume long gone and possibly short lived.
The bag is shaped akin to the gondola baskets, in a very dark blue felted wool, and the flowers are all still very bright. Internally there are two little side mirror/comb pockets. No closures.
Measures:
Width 13” - height 14” - internal depth front to back 3”
Condition:
Very good, slightly fluffy exterior from rubbing in storage is only real thing to mention. Embroidery still bright.
Please note, I will always combine postage where possible and refund any overages. Please ask if you’re unsure.
Postage to the US has increased recently so apologies for the high price! I send everything tracked, and will send your reference once your order has been posted - along with any refunds owed.
