vintage of uncertain age! fine navy wool crepe and gold lamé striped fortuny style scarf

I've had this for such a long time now while I puzzled over it! At first glance it could be relatively recent (70s/80s?) but when you look closer the material seems earlier, in a Fortuny style pleat, as does the style of fringe. I've shown it to another dealer who also thought it was pre war but it's really hard to say for certain.. I'm still undecided! 

Measures:  

When unstretched it is approx 10' wide, stretching up to approx 24"

It's roughly 78" long without the fringe - this adds another 7" to either end.

Condition:  Aside from the odd pull, it's in good condition.

If I am being picky I would note that it's been handmade, and the thread colour used to attach the tassels is not the exact shame shade of blue as in the scarf. Also when stretched you can see the end is slightly uneven, but this is how it has been sewn using the original section of fabric.
