Antique Edwardian lace trimmed cotton coutil Royal Worcester Corset - style 441
Rarely found these days (by me at any rate!) - and a nice example in traditional off white coutil, with pretty cotton lace trim covering the top binding. The ‘style 441’ corset from Royal Worcester Corsets. The four integral garters have clips marked with a patent for 1910.
Front busk with metal hooks to close, all in good working order. I believe the laces to be original.
Apologies - I can’t find my small waisted mannequin so I’m sorry it’s not very well fastened or positioned!
Length of laced section 12”
Side seam longest (not inc. garters) 14”
CF busk with hook fastening 13”
approx 4 to 4 1/2”’cup’ height from inner band
narrowest point of waist when tightly laced 18”
Generally very good and displays well. Structurally very good. Minimal marks to main body of corset - please see all photos as I took them 360 degrees. As you can see the clips are rusted and this has marked the garters. If I were keeping for my own collection I think I would remove the clips and polish with metal paste, before displaying/storing. They are still working, if a little stiff, although missing two of the elasticated fasteners.
Please see all photos, as they form part of the description, and feel free to ask if any queries.
**Please note, I will always combine postage where possible and refund any overages over £1. Please ask if you’re unsure. I’ve checked and this can luckily be boxed safely as a small parcel.
Postage to the US has increased recently so apologies for the high price! I send everything tracked, and will send your reference once your order has been posted - along with any refunds owed.
