1940s pastel peplum blouse floral (poppy?) painterly print on white ground - Has obviously been cut down from longer dress, in the spirit of make do and mend! Feels like a cotton rayon blend, smooth and slightly floppy.
Shaped front yoke, with tie neckline and front original? tonal buttons leading down to corselette front detail on waist with cf shirred detail beneath which gives added room over the hips.
Short cuffed sleeves with lightly puffed sleeve heads. Side brass lightning zipper. Cheery little blouse!
Bust 36” plus darts
Waist 28” across front - I think it’s missing a usual half tie belt (which has been removed and side seams restitched by hand) so hangs loosely to rear
Nape to hem 25.5”
Adjustments as mentioned, scattered worn spots to rear yoke and one to sleeve, slight colour run under arms. It’s wearable as is but clearly imperfect! Luckily flaws disguised by busy print.
