Machine age 1930s vintage two tone Art Deco metal brooch or pin with central blue galalith detail
Fabulous late 1930s to early 1940s high Art Deco brooch.
The two goldtone ends have a slightly yellower finish than the central more copper coloured areas.
I think the blue is galalith rather than glass.
Fastens to the rear with a very well made safety catch. I believe it came from France originally, or so the previous owner believed.
A great statement brooch, and very of it's time!
Measures: a little over 2" wide and a little over an inch high
Material: base metals is believe - no marks
Condition: please study photos. To the front it is generally very good. There is some very light surface scratching to front of you look closely, darkening to finish in the corners to the front.
The turquoise section isn't perfectly straight at one end but I believe this is original to the finish
To the reverse there is an aged patina and a dark spot as you can see to one flat section - unseen when worn.
Pin not perfectly straight when unfastened but works fine.
I'm being ultra picky - see photos of all angles!
Comes in modern gift box as shown. More vintage and antique jewellery listed - happy to combine purchases, just ask!
