pretty blue 1960s Laura Ashley midi dress with flower print - made in Wales earliest label

 Nice and wearable early Laura Ashley dress. 
pin-tucks and scoop neckline, empire waist with self tie half belt to rear. Neckline and cuffs edged in cotton lace. 

Sleeves are elasticated at cuff to form a frilled cuff. The dress fastens centre back with a concealed metal zipper. 

Measures: 

Bust 36” including darts

Waist 32” at empire line

Hips 44” unfitted 

Length from nape to hem 47”

underarm to cuff 16”

Condition: 

I have handwashed but noticed various faint age related marks, as photographed. I didn’t soak or spot treat so could improve? No holes noted.

A little yellowing to edge of cotton lace as shown.

You can see some of the printing is imperfect with colour transfer to edge. The pale blue colour of the dress also looks slightly uneven - I think both are how it was made as opposed to fade or colour run, more a result of cottage industry production!
