very late 1920s / 1930s rayon satin sleeveless evening dress with mock bolero
Simple peachy pink rayon satin deco dress, sleeveless with mock bolero to front, loops for belt, and bottom flared section.
No closures, very much bias cut and slips over head then fasten belt to fit - I have just included a vintage ribbon/belt and simple MOP slide buckle for now, but ideally I would add a paste two part one.
Very early 1930s, if it weren’t for the belt loop position I would have gone late 20s? Immediately wearable
Measures:
Bust
Waist
Hips
Length from nape to hem
Condition:
At a glance very good, minor flaws on inspection
- minor discolouration above and below belt line to rear bodice
- small splash mark lower back skirt
- couple thin spots and faint marks back side of skirt.
Last two are hidden in the folds of the fabric.
I have already hand washed but not spot treated the above. It’s very much handwashable with care, so worth another go?
Please see photos of the above - otherwise it’s generally ready to wear, and remarkably sturdy.
