Vintage c.1930s swansdown shoulder cape
This was a bit of a labour of love. I cleaned the dirty swansdown, and relined it as original crepe eau de nil lining was heavily damaged.
I’ve had my tailor add a vintage satin ribbon to the neckline a sit was a little worn. He’s added self fabric bow to fasten at front, but could easily add a fastening or clasp of your choice if you wanted some colour or sparkle!
Measures:
When laid flat the span edge to edge is 30” at widest point
Length from nape to hem 15”
Condition:
As mentioned this is not all original, and I have relined with vintage woven satin and had the binding added. It hasn’t been done on bias but am being picky.. it’s fine when worn.
As shown a couple of gifts of feathers are missing but overall effect good, and it’s very clean now!
