vintage c.1950s Mairi Macintyre good quality tweed jacket with velvet collar in soft brown
A very smart wool tweed jacket in caramel tones, with soft brown velvet collar and satin lining. Label reads Mairi Macintyre, who hailed from Fort William (I believe was possibly bought out by the Edinburgh Woollen Mill?). It has been nicely made and is clearly good quality materials.
Semi fitted hip length style with princess panels and lower welt pockets. Front three button fastening. Slightly padded shoulders and fitted sleeves with double button detail and faux vent. Tonal velvet collar.
A good autumn wardrobe staple, which I nearly kept (as ever).
