Vintage horsehide dark brown leather jacket - 30s look - 1960s?
It looks so much better on a model but I’m afraid I can’t both photograph and show you so you just have to take my word for it! A thick chestnut brown leather, I believe it’s made from horsehide - similar to the 1930s and 1940s leather jackets. I think this probably dates from the 1960s Judging by the more fitted cut and front closures, however the style is quite similar. It’s quite a petite fit, so the sleeves are a little short. I wore it once as a UK 8
The jacket features bust darts, a single vent to rear, small collars and front patch pockets which are cotton lined. There are no labels. Externally good with a nice patina, there are some repairs internally to the lining so please see photos.
