vintage late 1960s to 1970s Lulu (for Freeman's) deco styled blouse
Again, owned for some years! From the 'Lulu' line at Freeman's, which was launched in 1969.
Caramel coloured blouse, probably crimplene or some other 70s wonder fabric. Self fabric covered buttons and loops to close, deco overstitch and pin tuck details - cloud shape to waist is great!
Peplum makes it almost a tunic, very wearable. Bell sleeves are cuffed with same button and loop to close. Love it, but I have tops like this in triplicate..
Measures:
Bust
Waist
Hips
Length from nape to hem
Condition:
Externally good to very good, one little snag back of neck but not a hole. Internally there are some spots to the lining which have been there since I bought it. I have soaked and they don’t seem to shift but they are not on the top layer, so unseen when worn.
Clean and ready to wear - when I first bought it it smelt strongly of fabric conditioner which isn’t a huge issue for some, but I don’t like as am quite sensitive to scent. I’ve soaked it and it’s now quite muted (just smells clean!) but just mentioning for accuracy.
