vintage snakeskin and leather platform mary-jane shoes
A little well worn but super fabulous. I think these are certainly 70s rather than 90s judging by the buckles and soles. The name has worn away aside from the very last bit!
I've absolutely dosed these in leather restorer as the scales where beginning to lift a bit as you can see, so have been well fed. I gave them a quick polish but will do them again to remove final residue seen in pics!
Labelled a 5.5, they're unfortunately too narrow for me as I've got pretty wide feet, but they seem to be a pretty standard 70s width... very disappointing as my friend kindly bought and posted them up for me!
insole toe to heel 10"
ball width across outer 3"
Platform sole 3/4"
Heel height a whopping 5 1/2"
Condition: generally they've seen medium use, but still have life left!
- As mentioned above some lift to scales, but none missing that I noticed. Will clean of white residue seen in close ups (left as much as I could to soak in!)
- Wear to finish on plain leather, haven't used a coloured polish. Crack not split to top of on strap, does not extend all the way though but worn to rear on one side at same point.
- some surface rust to buckles seen in close up
