Wonderful Art Deco 1920s multicoloured knitted long slim scarf

Late 1920s to early 30s, very colourful silky rayon knit scarf with fringed ends. Very long and thin. Reminds me of Elmer the elephant, possibly one of the most cheerful I’ve seen! 

Measures: 

Width unstretched 4”

Length inc tassels 78”

Condition: 

To one end there was a small opening in the week before the tassles, and to the other there is an old repair. Both shown. 
Aside from that there is the odd small catch, and a faint mark when held to the light. Has been hand washed but not soaked. 
As the scarf drapes so much the repair isn’t really obvious but please do see photo.
